Acres of Fun!

God has blessed us with lots of  land!  In 2020, we put in a one-mile asphalt walking track that winds around our property and is open to the community.  Inside of that track is a disc golf course.  We also host lots of other pretty awesome activities in and around our building and on our land, so come and get some recreation time in on the MVF Property any time!  Scroll down for more information on

events and activities as well as more information on our disc golf course.

  • Disc Golf

During the summer and early fall months, we've got informal Disc Golf pickup nights every Thursday at 6:30pm where you can learn the basics of the game and get in some good practice... all while having a great time!  Contact Pastor Mike for more information.

  • Friday Fundays

Friday Fundays for our Elementary Students during the school year... and occasionally during the summer!  Sometimes we play indoors in the gym, and sometimes we play outside... but it's always a great time!  Contact our Children's Directer Darcee for information on our next Friday Funday!

The Links @ MVF

Looking for something to do in Strasburg? Come play a round of disc golf on our new course!

Our 9 hole course features both long and short holes. Both beginners and intermediate disc golf enthusiasts will enjoy our prairie layout. And it's free!

Course Map

Our course plays clockwise around our prayer path on the back of our property. To start, park on the northwest corner of our West parking lot.  Cross the bridge to the path and you will see our "Practice" basket and warm up your short game / putts.  We currently don't have tee boxes so play from last basket.

Our course has few obstacles other than wind, weeds & prairie wildlife.  For an added challenge, play counting the path as out of bounds including not intentionally crossing over the path (except on hole 9). This will create some great "dog leg" shots on holes 4, 7 and 9.

Course PAR - 34

Hole 1 - Par 3 - 329 feet. Start at the "P" practice basket. Hole 1 is to the south, close to the other start of the path

Hole 2 - Par 4 - 423 feet. Attempt to go down the "tunnel" between the path and septic system pipes, with a slight dogleg right

Hole 3 - Par 4 - 520 feet. Straight west on slight rise

Hole 4 - Par 5 - 782 feet. Look towards the water tower. The pin is in the SW corner of the property. Extended dogleg left around the path.  Longest hole on the course.

Hole 5 - Par 4 - 408 feet. Due North.

Hole 6 - Par 3 - 291 feet. Due East.

Hole 7 - Par 4 - 514 feet. Slight left dogleg around trail. Pin is south of the cross in a slight depression.

Hole 8 - Par 3 - 235 feet. Straight to the east. Shortest hole on the course.

Hole 9 - Par 4 - 459 feet. Up on the hill. Hard left dogleg around the path.  Cross the path at the bottom of the hill to get to the pin. Don't overthrow - or you'll be in Lake Dwyer!

Bonus - From hole 9 back to the practice/putt basket. 219 feet. Straight South. Careful of cars in parking lot.

Par for holes established using the PDGA par guidelines for red tees, light foliage.

Disc Golf Course Use

Here at Mountain View Fellowship, we have been blessed to have 40 acres of wonderful property and we are excited to share it with our community. We are happy to offer our disc golf course to be played year round for free. Please enjoy it, and feel free to come back as often as you like. You don't have to be a member or even attend MVF to play the course.  In order for us to continue to offer the course, we ask you work with us by adhering to the course and prayer path guidelines.

Here's the quick legal stuff: By playing the course you agree to not hold MVF liable for any injury or loss. While we do work to keep the course safe and playable, we cannot guarantee the condition of the course/field on any given day due to weather, wind, or wildlife. Watch for snakes and other wildlife, especially if you are looking for a disc far off the mowed fairways.

Please be mindful of others who are on the course or using the prayer walk. Courtesy and manners are expected and encouraged.

Loud music, profanity, drinking or drug use are not allowed on the course. Given the nature of prairie grassland, smoking is never allowed. Dogs are welcome ON A LEASH! Please be courteous. Pickup after your dog and dispose of waste.

If you lose a disc, please let us know (email mike@mvfcolorado.com). We will keep an eye out for it and will contact you if someone turns your disc in. Better yet - make sure your name, phone number and email are written on your disc.

If you find something we need to address/fix, please let us know. If you break something, we are forgiving but please let us know so we can get it repaired quickly.

There is no fee to play the course. Enjoy it!

New to Disc Golf?

The object of the game is to complete the course from beginning to end in the fewest number of disc throws. Players start a hole by throwing from the "tee" (on our course the last disc basket played). Each throw is made from where the disc came to rest after the last throw. A hole is completed when a player's disc comes to rest in the wire basket or suspended by the chains. (Landing on top of a basket or on the ground under the basket is not considered a finished hole).

Players use discs to play. Discs are not like regular frisbees: they tend to be smaller, have a specific shape and weight, and are designed to fly in particular patterns to help reduce throws.  Like regular golf, there are different kinds of discs used based on how far you are from the basket.

  • Drivers are used when far from the hole. They are thinner than the other discs and work best when thrown hard and level.
  • Mid-Range are used when you are 50'-200' from a hole. These discs are a little more stable than drivers but do not float as long.
  • Putters are used for the last throws close to a hole. These are heavier, do not float as well (which helps avoid overthrows), and take abuse from the basket chains well.

During weekday office hours, we have a few discs you can borrow to play the course.
